RC5

RC5 from RC™ Tiltrotators is made for excavators weighing between 14-19 tonnes, and has been designed to cope with breakout torques of up to 200 kNm. RC5 has 25% higher tilting torque than its predecessor, the R5. Tiltrotators in the Rototilt Control Series have been designed for your operating experience, energy efficiency and precision. With pressure-compensated hydraulics, you can use the tiltrotator’s functions independently of each other to deliver the best possible precision. In addition, thanks to the RC™ System proportional control system, you can control all of this in the same excavation movement.

With the RC™ Tiltrotator, we have also created better conditions for you to work with high-flow functions, as well as extended your potential to use tools that place high demands on hydraulic flows. With the RC5, you also gain access to Rototilt’s other functions, such as a rotor housing cast in a single piece and oil-filled for maximum lubrication, minimal wear and a long service life. You enjoy even more benefits in combination with the optional RC™ Joysticks and QuickChange™, as well as the SecureLock™ safety lock, which is always included as standard.

The advantages of pressure-compensated hydraulics

RC4-RC9 have newly developed pressure-compensated hydraulics. This allows the tiltrotator’s various functions to work independently of each other in order to provide precise control of tilt and rotation, even if you want to operate these at different speeds. This becomes even clearer when you are using both functions at the same time. When the tilt function is operating in the maximum position, rotation can continue at the same speed as before. As a result, tiltrotators in the RC™ series provide you with optimum parallel operation, as you do not need to take the speed of rotation and tilt into account. Your operating experience becomes smoother and your movements more controlled, allowing greater precision and better results in all your tasks in the long run.

The tiltrotator at the heart of the Rototilt® QuickChange™

The key aspect of Rototilt® QuickChange™ is the ability to switch out hydraulic tools without the need to leave the cab. By working with QuickChange™ on both the top attachment frame, as well as the bottom quick coupler, operators are able to efficiently connect and reconnect with the tiltrotator or go between the various hydraulic tool options. All options are dependent on the task at hand. The tiltrotators can also be mounted directly onto your machine, with the QuickChange™ coupler fitted to the lower part of the tiltrotator. This enables you to rapidly change any of your hydraulic tools. For your safety, the SecureLock™ safety solution is standard and with any RC series tiltrotator, you can upgrade to QuickChange™ when required.
