Open-S

Rototilt is a member of, and one of the initiators behind, the open standard for fully automatic quick couplers for excavators – Open-S. This gives you the freedom to combine machine couplers, tiltrotators and work tools from different manufacturers that are part of the standard.

Excavation system

The Rototilt Positioning Solution, RPS, has been tailored to the industry’s leading excavation systems, such as Leica, Topcon, Trimble, MOBA/Novatron, L5, DigAssist, DigPilot, iDig, Makin 3D, UniControl and XL Pro. It allows you to see the exact position of the tool in real time by combining the tools for the tiltrotator and the excavator in a user-friendly way.

How should the tiltrotator be mounted?

How the tiltrotator is mounted on the machine depends largely on how you plan to use it. A machine coupler is permanently attached to the excavator and serves as an interface for attaching the tiltrotator or other work tools. With QuickChange™, this is also done automatically from the cab. When the tiltrotator is attached to the machine coupler, its integrated quick coupler is used to quickly switch between different work tools. With direct mounting, the tiltrotator is instead permanently attached directly to the excavator. This means that all tool changes are performed via the integrated quick coupler located beneath the tiltrotator.
