The new EN474 safety standard places high demands on quick coupler locking functions. However, we were taking the safety lock concept to a new level long before the introduction of the safety standard. SecureLock™ is an active safety solution that reduces the risk of swinging or dropped tools by ensuring that the tool is correctly connected, securely locked and in good condition, even before you start your work. Rototilt has been granted a patent for its invention involving the use of sensors in safety locks for work tools with tiltrotators. The SecureLock™ solution combines hydraulics, mechanics and sensors with audible signals and information on displays. The connection is monitored continuously and you are warned via the display and clear audible signals the moment a problem arises, advising you to pause your work to inspect the equipment. The system also tells you when your tool is worn and requires servicing. This allows you to avoid risky situations before they occur.
